Barbecue Around the World

People all over the world enjoy a barbecue. In the United States, people grill burgers, hot dogs and other meats. In Argentina, people cook meat slowly over wood or charcoal. They often cook meat such as steak. In Korea, families grill thin slices of meat right at the table. In South Africa, people have a barbecue with meat and vegetables. Barbecue brings people together to share food and have fun.

Zach:     Of course! I love barbecues. I often have them at my house in summer.



Emily:   What do you grill?



Zach:     I usually grill burgers and hot dogs. But I grill chicken sometimes, too.



Emily:   Yum! Barbecues are a great way to share food and have fun together.



Zach:     I agree!
