Not many librarians see the Internet as a threat to their jobs. That’s because they know the Internet lacks something which libraries are famous for: quality control. Since anyone can publish information on the Internet, researchers can’t assume the information they find there is true.

  However, there’s no denying that students everywhere are using the Internet as one of their research tools. Some guidelines for evaluating Internet information are definitely in order.
